John had a solid background in Sound Design. His work has featured in three award winning short films: Dutch Bird, with credits for sound design, foley and sound editing, comedy sci-fi short Reptile Day, with credits for sound design, voice recording and sound editing and 'It Came From Over There', another sci-fi comedy short with credits for sound design, music score, foley and sound editing.

Aside from writing the music for Radio 4's adaptation of Lionel Shriver's 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' John was also responsible for much of the sound design.

John has a long running association with new media producers Desktop Display. He has designed the sound and effects for a range of products including a museum interactive for The Royal Pavilion - A Working Palace, and London Thames, a educational CD resource.

During 2007 John also designed the sound for Brighton's New Venture Theatre's production of John Donnelly's 'Bone'.

By preference John uses Adobe Audition as his software of choice but is familiar with many other software packages including ProTools and Ardour, the leading open source multi-track software for Linux.
